A Great Conversation

Today Ruth and I were snuggling on my bed after she woke up from her nap. Sadie was still asleep. This is one of my very favorite things to do. Our conversation went as follows...

Me: Ruthie will you stay with me forever?
Ruth: I can't
Me: Why??
Ruth: I have to get married and leave.
Me: I thought you were going to marry Prince Eric (dad).
Ruth: He said I can't because he is already married to you.
Me: Who is going to stay with me forever and ever then?
Ruth: You will stay with the handsome, handsome, handsome, handsome Prince Eric forever. Isn't that great!
Me: YES!!!
Ruth: and you can keep Sadie forever too.

What a lucky women I am. Ruth has her proper perspective and I get Prince Eric and hopefully Sadie. Ruthie did eventually offer me to come and live with her and her husband, so it sounds like I will be cared for.

GIRLS GIRLS GIRLS

#3 is a GIRL!!!

After three ultrasounds she finally decided to show herself. We can't be more excited. After calculating the price of tampons, with three girls in a row, as long as we have only boys later on we should be able to survive!

Bring on the LADIES.

Water

Ruthie is an avid water drinker. All day long she asks for water. I am often in the middle of something so I will quickly fill a glass hand it off and continue with my task. The other day as I was making dinner Ruthie came into the kitchen and asked, "Mom, can I have a glass of water?" I replied, "Sure." I gave the sauce a quick stir filled her glass handed it off and continued cooking. Ruthie took a sip and walked over to her dad and said, "Mom always gives me warm water."
I have learned two lessons from this. First, Ruth is the best child ever, months and months and months of warm water and this is the first I have ever even heard of it. And Second, it only takes about 8 seconds to let the water get cold.

Police Officers and Tabs

As a couple Eric and I have not had the best of luck with Police Officers or Tabs for that matter. Most of you out there see this as our fault, which we accept it as. If we weren't speeding or more responsible we would not find ourselves in such situations as follow...
First, one of us in in the midst of a 6 month probation for speeding, in which a previous ticket will not be placed on one of our records as long as one of us doesn't receive a ticket for 6 months. One of us is 4 months into her/his 6 months.
On Sunday one of us was pulled over for going through a late yellow light (that is what we will call it, because it was still yellow, but one of us should have stopped). Upon getting pulled over we also realized our Tabs were one month expired and the kicker...our insurance had expired the day before (we were currently insured, our proof of insurance was safe on our counter at home).
WE WERE DEAD!!
Luckily the Lord really loves one of us and we have been blessed with two cute girls who happened to warm the heart of one police officer, and we were on our way home from church so they looked exceptionally cute.
WE WERE SAVED!!
The wonderful Police Officer only gave us a warning! for all three violations!! We are talking close to $1000 in savings.
One of us almost convinced the other one of us to let one of us use some of the saving at Old Navy but one of us said no.
Thank you Thank you Thank you...to the Police of Spokane, to one of us, and to Heavenly Father!
Lastly, all of our violations are now set in order.
